Villaroger's own branch of the French ski school - a small team meeting in the village and teaching across the whole Les Arcs area.
Lessons for every age from 3 up: little ones, kids, teens and adults, plus snowshoeing outings from age 8 and off-piste guiding for strong skiers.
Having lessons meet in the village solves the old problem of getting the lifts over to Arc 2000 in time for a morning class.
Online booking; English spoken.

There is a new Ticket vending machine for out-of-hours purchases.
A short Poma drag lift at the bottom of the Arc valley, near Pré Saint-Esprit, and one of the least-used lifts on the mountain.
It's there for bad days: when weather closes the high route (via Lanchette) to Villaroger, the Rhonaz takes you over the rise from the Comborcière and Pré Saint-Esprit sectors so the Villaroger side stays reachable.
Most weeks it never runs - check the lift status before you head down there; it's a bit of a trek back if it's not running.

The restaurant specialises in comforting traditional Savoyard dishes - such as cheese fondues and Côte de Boeuf - making it a popular spot for skiers and winter travellers.

In an emergency call 112; for an accident on the pistes, call the Les Arcs piste rescue.
For a doctor: illness, minor injuries, ski knocks — the Sainte-Foy medical centre is about 10 minutes up the valley, open daily in the ski season with urgent walk-ins and English spoken.
or anything serious, A&E at Bourg-Saint-Maurice hospital is about 20 minutes down the valley, open 24/7.

All valley news →The French Alps host the Winter Olympics from 1 to 17 February 2030, followed by the Paralympics from 1 to 10 March, and two of the venues are on the Tarentaise's doorstep.
Val d'Isère hosts the alpine skiing, 30 minutes up the D902 from Sainte-Foy. La Plagne takes the bobsleigh, luge and skeleton on the Albertville 1992 track, directly across the valley from Les Arcs. Courchevel gets ski jumping and more alpine racing, plus the para alpine and para snowboard events. Alpes 2030 - Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games +2
For anyone booked into Villaroger, Sainte-Foy or Les Arcs that February, expect the valley to be busy, the Bourg-Saint-Maurice funicular and buses fuller than usual, and accommodation booked out early. It also means the quieter villages between the venues will be exactly where you want to be.
Ticketing and volunteer sign-ups haven't opened yet; the organising committee's site at alpes2030.org is where those will be announced.
The venue plan is still subject to final IOC confirmation, so treat the details as provisional for now.
